Building an audience for the Leeds Digital Charity Ball 2026

Every June, the Leeds Digital Charity Ball brings together over 500 people from Leeds’ tech and digital community for one night at the Royal Armouries, in aid of digital inclusion projects funded through the Leeds Community Foundation. But how do you make people care?

In the weeks before the Ball, we interviewed over a dozen contributors, corporate sponsors, event ambassadors, and heard from charities who have benefited from previous funding – telling their stories about what digital inclusion means and why it’s important that we support it.

The list ran from partners at law firms like Addleshaw Goddard and Clarion, to Leeds City Council, 100% Leeds Digital – and the boots-on-the-ground community organisations who make change happen each and every day.

Briefing over a dozen contributors, keeping the visual language consistent across all of them, and getting every film finished before the big day is a scheduling job as much as a filming one. That’s the difference between a single shoot and a proper pre-event campaign.

The result is a consistent, professional, and more importantly impactful video campaign that works across LinkedIn, Instagram, websites and can even play out on the night itself.

For an event like Leeds Digital Charity Ball, the story isn’t just in the event itself – but in seeing the direct impact of each and every pound of fundraising going to help real people out of digital poverty. Audiences need to trust your story before they start sharing it – and that’s through a people-first approach.

Need to build the case for your event before it happens?

At Circle Take Films, we run multi-contributor campaigns like this end to end, from briefing and scheduling through to a finished, on-brand series ready before a single ticket goes on sale.

You went above and beyond, and your passion for telling these vital stories shone through at every moment ✨
