Capturing the Leeds Digital Ball 2026

Every June, the Leeds Digital Charity Ball brings together over 500 people from Leeds’ tech and digital community for one night at the Royal Armouries, in aid of digital inclusion projects funded through the Leeds Community Foundation. With nearly half a million raised, they’ve changed lives across the region.

Not afraid to get stuck in and find the story.

We filmed the Ball as it happened, right in the middle of the room, the crowd filling up, the speeches, the live auction, nothing set up or restaged afterwards for the camera. That’s deliberate, a real moment caught as it happens reads as more genuine than anything recreated once the night’s over, and it’s delivered fast enough to still matter while people are talking about it, not months later once the moment’s passed.

But we nearly missed the big picture.

A highlights film does more than mark the occasion; it becomes proof for next year’s sponsors and ticket buyers that the night is worth being part of, evidence the event delivers rather than just a keepsake of one evening. It’s both a look back – and a look forward to the next event.

Thanks to the hard working team at Leeds Digital Ball, the event raised nearly £100k in just a few hours – supported by the generous Leeds digital community who want to make the world a better place.
